How Jennifer Hudson changed her body
The star on her new outlook, shopping as exercise and why she will never go blonde.You are a walking advertisement for Weight Watchers. Tell us, what made the plan work for you? "I don't like to be restricted. Weight Watchers allows you to eat whatever you want, but teaches you how much of it you can have."
What are your favourite indulgences? "I still eat margherita pizza and chocolate. My favourite home-cooked meal is baked turkey wings, greens and sweet-potato fries."
Sounds too good to be true. Are you also hitting the gym? "I try to run on the treadmill for 30 minutes each day. I also look at shopping as a form of exercise."
You're kidding ! "I am so serious! Think about it—when you're at the store and you're going through the racks, your arms get tight."
Spoken like a true fitness buff. How has your look evolved as your body has changed? "Before, you couldn't pay me to wear heels unless I was on the red carpet. But now I love how they emphasise the shape of my body. I'm hardly ever in flats."
Are you also taking more risks with your hair and make-up? "I'm experimenting with different styles, but you'll never catch me with blonde hair or a shaved head. It's one of those things—you've gotta love it to be able to sell it." —Clarissa Cruz
